DescriptionItem is untested, sold "AS-IS"Cosmetic condition is rough with yellowing due to age and some scuffing and scratches. It is missing five keys (F8, Caps Lock, Scroll Lock. Keypad Period and Keypad +) and the right side leg knob is broken.What’s Included: 1x Vintage IBM Model F Keyboard Does not include any additional cables, parts or accessories otherthan those explicitly mentioned in the listing.The Model F was a ser...ies of computer keyboardsproduced from 1981–1994 by IBM and later Lexmark. Its mechanical-key designconsisted of a buckling spring over a capacitive PCB, similarly to the laterModel M keyboard that used a membrane in place of the PCB.The Model F first appeared with the IBMSystem/23 Datamaster all-in-one computer. It is best known as part of the IBMPersonal Computer in 1981 with some keycap label differences, and itssubsequent release with the IBM Personal Computer/AT, where it was reconfiguredwith the AT protocol and some layout revisions.The capacitive design is widely consideredsuperior to that of the later membrane design used on the Model M. It has alighter actuation force of about 600mN, a crisper feel and louder feedback, andis more robust. It also has a higher MTBF of over 100 million keypresses, andfull n-key rollover.
