VINTAGE APPLE COMPUTER INC PICASSO MAC DEALER LAMP
During rollout of the Macintosh back in 1984, Apple produced a limited edition promotional sign for the original Mac dealers. The sign has the now-famous Picasso line art along with the name Macintosh etched into a 10″ x 10″ piece of glass, manually beveled and painted. The glass was mounted on a beige plastic base containing an internal flourescent light, illuminating the glass from below. When switched on the sign sparkles lik...e crystal and clearly announces that something new has arrived.
You are bidding on a vintage glass display lamp. It features a 10” square, ½-inch thick glass etched with the famous Picasso rendering of the beloved Mac. This rare Macintosh promotional display lamp was distributed to Authorized Apple Dealers for the introduction of the original Macintosh computer back in 1984. The base is made of the same original "beige" or "putty" as the original Macintosh. It has a hidden light inside the base that shines up through the glass to illuminate the colored graphic. Stunning both day and night! Considered extremely rare and much sought after. It has the original base & bulb, and it still works perfectly. This was a very limited production, and has become a collectible that fans of Apple, Steve Jobs and the Macintosh now treasure.
