This is for a fabulously well preserved French silver snuff box dating between 1819 and 1838. The lid has a pictorial scene showing a young couple. The sides of the box are ribbed and the base has a geometric pattern. The silver is stamped with clear Paris guarantee marks that make it easy to date as these shown were introduced in 1819. The box is in pristine condition with no damage or wear to it anywhere and the lid sits tight and flush. It measures 35mm (1.5") x 60mm (2.3") and stan...ds 12mm (0.3") deep.
