Selling our IBM PCjr that we have owned in our family since new. We are moving and it's time for this to go. This has not been used for some time but I was able to plug it in and boot it up to BASIC (shows 640k memory prior to BASIC screen) as well as insert a DOS disk to get it to load DOS. I also ran a typing program but no software testing beyond that point. I ran the internal self diagnostics for the two joysticks and tablet which were functional. Ever...ything you see in the first photo is included:
- IBM PCjr (Model 4860) - Modified by PC Enterprises to be more PC compatible with a jrExcelerator installed. Some of the plastic dividers on the back between ports are missing (does not affect operation) and one pin on one of the joystick ports is missing (operates red button on joystick) (see photos) - Screws to secure sidecars are missing but not needed for sidecars to be operational - did not test cartridge slots - IBM PCjr Modem - IBM PCjr Monitor (Model 4863) - IBM PCjr Keyboard (Model 7257 - Batteries were never used so no corrosion, however the IR receiver is missing from the computer as the toggle switch seen in the photos now occupies the space (switch used to toggle between PC and PCjr compatibility - tied into the jrExcelerator card installed into the motherboard)) - Also top of the cable for keyboard broke off years ago (part of cable that allows RJ11 end of cord to click into keyboard) but plug sits secure in keyboard and does not affect operation. Keyboard did occasionally beep on testing when pressing keys but keyboard was functional - key tronic KB 5149jr Numeric Keypad - TECMAR jrCaptain Sidecar (Memory, Printer, Clock, Software - No.22502) - PC Enterprises Megaboard jrSIDECAR SERIES 768k Memory Sidecar and Software - IBM Power Supply Part No 1503681 - PC Enterprises Configuration Cartridge and Combo Cartridge - Two (2) IBM PCjr joysticks - KoalaPad with software and manual (stylus is missing) - Cover for PC/Monitor and keyboard - Original Software & Books including DOS, BASIC, Guide to Operations, Hands-On BASIC, IBM PCjr Sampler and IBM Writing Assistant - Various DOS boot disks and diagnostic disks (see photos - untested other than to boot to DOS) - Various Software including educational games (see photos - untested) - Extra 5.25 Floppy Disks
We used this computer for years and upgraded it over time with products from PC Enterprises out of NJ. It is a 35 year old computer which has not been used for some time so please ask any questions before making any commitments. Given it's age, it is being sold AS-IS, with no warranty, no returns and no refunds. It will only be shipped within the US. This computer requires technical knowledge to operate and being this old, the computer is fragile. I will ship the monitor in a separate box (there will be three boxes total) to further help protect the components. Thank you.
