So, the owners of this French cabinet purchased it in France. She said she was drawn to the fabric that the French owner had applied to the inside...and brought it back to Charleston and used it as a display cabinet for many years. With the glass doors, it could double as a bookcase or what a unique option for linen storage.
Ther...e are four easily adjustable shelves.
Bench constructed with hand cut dovetails in the single drawer, it is beautifully built. Handsome and solid, the doors are curved at both ends with carved shells at the top corners. The carvings are very detailed...with the acanthus leaves and floral patterns.
The finish is original and the secondary wood is oak..and there is a light birds eye maple on the drawer and inside of the two glass doors. The paneled back is chamfered.
Height = 97"Width = 54"Depth = 22"
It is in very good condition and will break down into literally a stack of wood plus 2 glass doors.Four bolts is the only hardware necessary to set up. Doors will slide down on hinges.
