This listing is for a pair of1947 Jensen Type H 2-way loudspeakers. Many experienced listeners prefer themto other coincident drivers. I have another pair in my living room and thesetwo are not needed any longer. One is an HNP-51 which is howJensen offered these to consumers. The other is an HNP-50 which is the OEMversion. All HNP-50 and HNP-51 are electrically and acoustically congruent – itwas just a numbering change to reflect the intended user. In this instance, thedriver came fr...om a Meissner high end console. HNP-51 also included atransformer to step up from the voice coils to a 500 ohm line. An additionaltransformer would be required to step back down to a typical audio outputtransformer. I have removed thattransformer so that the system presents a 16 ohm load to the amplifier. Both speakers have a + and - flying lead for full range operation. Both surrounds have minordamage that has been repaired. The tweeter cover for the HNP-50 was removedsometime prior to my ownership. Neither of these issues affect the soundnegatively. You can wait a long time – and spend a lot more money – to get apair that is cosmetically perfect. But that pair won’t sound any better thanthis pair. These are offered for sale inas-is, as-pictured condition.
