This McIntosh amp is in amazing cosmetic condition. While the chassis is a little dusty, there is absolutely no pitting, corrosion, rust, or any other sort of blemish. With some dusting, it will look as good as you'll find! The cabinet looks great with very little wear.
The amp comes from a German audiophile who is downsizing his massive collection. This particular piece hasn't been used in over ten years. We powered it on with a Variac and other than the controls being a little... scratchy (can be fixed with electrical contact cleaner), all seems well! The sound was clean and consistant on both channels, and both meters were equally responsive (although some of the meter lamps are out). However, as we believe all capacitors to be original, please note that it would be very wise to have the amp professionally serviced by McIntosh or another qualified service provider to ensure safe and optimal performance.
The amplifier and cabinet will be shipped seperately to ensure a safe delivery. It's easily removed and put back in thanks to the McIntosh Panlocks that have been installed. Shipping the two would likely break the cabinet. Local pick-up in Reno, Nevada, is also welcome!
