Antique French Art Deco Machine Age Desk Lamp. Fine Quality. 1930s. Markel StyleAcquired in France October 2019, a fab little desk lamp that's also for use as a wall light, has a hanging point. It's fine quality, substantially made in heavy gauge brass & sits well on a surface due to the thick lead weight in the lamp base.A clever design, it is multi-positional, the dome shade rotates 360 degs around the bulb & the arm tilts 180 degrees on the base. Can be used as an uplighter ...& when vertical, it looks similar to a theatre foot light.
1930s in date, it is in remarkable condition, spotlessly clean, has been rewired historically & the original Bakelite on/off interrupter & plug remain & are fully functional too. Surfaces have one or two signs of use & age but all minor, expected as well as very credible.
Dimensions When vertical 23cm High. Dia of shade 12cm. Dia of base 9cm. Weight 1.25kg
