Dates approximately 1860/1890.InWONDERFUL restored condition. FULLY LOCKSNomissing or replaced veneer. Just a few tiny nibble repairs which is nothingconsidering the boxes age. Otherwise a terrific box in wonderful condition.Wonderfulinlaid banding consisting Burl As...h to the top and front. Further inlaidwith mother of pearl the central cartouche and keyholeescutcheon.Thebox retains its original silk fixed ruffled material backing board and topcatch. In very good order with very minor fray. Always nice to keep this partof the original interior with the box.Displayswonderful colour. The pictures really do not do it justice. Instruction given once sold.YOUONLY GET THIS TYPE OF QUALITY FROM US.Comprisinga wonderful interiorthat boasts a later wooden tray finished to a superb standard that compliments.This has been relined in expensive velvetmaterial of thehighest quality, the same as the bottompart of the interior of the box. Allthe added dividers within the tray can easily be repositioned or removed ifdesired. The tray can hold many rings in an upright position. Underneaththe additional tray and beneath the base of the box have also been lined invelvet to stop any scratches to other surfaces.A superb box, and would make afantastic gift.
