ITEM DESCRIPTIONA really fine pair of Georgian steel nutcrackers.Dating to the later 18thC.I don't recall seeing this design before with the unusual acorn pincers at the end presumably to scoop out the contents after the nut has been cracked.Hand engraved with acorns to the outside and also with some decoration to the inside.Measuring 6.25 inches/16cm long.No damage, totally original and untouched - they do not look like they have ever been cleaned or messed ...around with.Really lovely.Don't forget this is a 10 day auction that ends on Monday 11th November.Please take a look at my other antiques.International buyers always very welcome!
