A wonderful , rare archive of how records were kept in a Colorado mountain mining town in 1867 on to 1877-GEORGETOWN , COLORADO journals / ledgers
1- Day journal FULL of sales and supplies records- starts 1868 - measures-13-1/2' x 8-3/4" x 1-1/2"
2- Journals , one is a Georgetown Colorado journal that mentions The Georgetown Silver Smelting co. - starts 1867- measures-12-3/4" x 8-1/2" x 1-1/2 -and there is another one that looks like another mercantile journal -st...arts-1870 and not as full as the first one- Measures same as above-
1- smaller journal- 1910/11 and this one looks like a newspaper subscription journal and has LOTS of names of Georgetown's early families who settled this lovely mining town.Being from Empire and having worked in Georgetown for 15 years at the Post Office, i recognize lots of the names in this book -
1- smaller journal book that has what looks like names of Newspapers of that era , some sort of subscription journal maybe-
Entries include, Georgetown, Lawson, Dumont, Empire and many more Colorado town. also includes other states like New York.- An interesting journal-1878-1882
The 3 larger journals are leather bound and have normal wear on the outside-The smaller journals are hard back with normal wear-
