No...ttingham was famous as the location for quality plated measure makers.Henry Askew is listed in Wrights Directory 1858 as a plated measure maker operating from premises at Broad Street House, Lincoln Street, Nottingham. He was no longer in business by 1890 according to the later trade directory published at that date, although a new firm called Oldham traded as “Late Askew”.
