For sale here is an early, antique, heavily embossed, clear, cork top, battery oil type bottle from Bloomfield, New Jersey. I believe these were used primarily for the telegraph and railroad. The bottle is embossed SPECIAL / BATTERY OIL / THOMAS A. EDISON / INCORPORATED / PRIMARY BATTERY / DIVISION / BLOOMFIELD, N. J. / U. S. A. on the front. Also embossed TRADE / THOMAS A. EDISON (script) / REG. U. S. MARK PAT. OFF. / MADE IN U. S. A. on the back. Likely dates to the 1920s. About 4.75... inches tall. No chips or cracks. Some wear and haze and some spots of inside stain that I could not get out. Maybe you can. Bottle still displays well for its age. Please review photos before bidding/purchasing.
