Oh this shawl is a MESS and I really hope someone takes the time to restore it (also my photos aren't great as it's dark today....the second set of photos is the more proper, darker color). Various holes here and there but not beyond restoration, which it deserves.  It's an important piece, and may be earlier than 19th century judging from the amount of floral designs and the repetition of the moon symbols. Aside from needing some repair it's spectacular, with some of the best han...dwork I've seen.  80" x 82" and if you absolutely must cut it up to refashion into something else what's there is perfectly strong enough.
