We are settling our dear mother’s estate. This is anauction for a magnificent sterling silver coffee and tea set. All items match (including thetray). From the photos you can clearlysee that each item (including the tray) is sterling silver (each item is marked“Made in" on one line "Sterling" on the next line, and "Mexico” on the bottom line <see photos>.). Although I don’t know about the style of this item or its age, I knowthat it was in my parent’s h...ome when I was a child (I am presently 62 yearsold). I have weighed and measured theseitems the best that I can. If I measuredsomething, I included the lids (if item had a lid) in my measurements. Thegeneral description of this set is as follows: 1. Smallbowl (I think called “waste bowl”)—Height is about 2.5 inches. Weightis about 5 oz. 2. Sugarbowl with lid—Height is about 6 inches. Weight is about 15 oz. 3. Creamer—Heightis about 5.5 inches. Weight is about 12oz. 4. Widerteapot (or is it the coffee pot???)—Height is about 8 inches. Weight is about 2 lbs. 12 oz. 5. Tallercoffeepot (or is it the tea pot???)—Height is about 9.5 inches. Weight is about 2 lbs 6 oz. 6. Sterlingsilver tray—Length is about 27 inches. Width is about 17 inches. The weight seems to be right around 6 and ahalf lbs. But let’s call it 6 lbs (Iweighed this on my bathroom scales and it kept coming up as 6 lbs.5. But let’s subtracta half a lb. just to be safe. I would rather be under than over in myweighings).7. 7. Thetotal weight of this sterling silver tea set is 13 lbs. 2 oz.As you can see, all of the pieces are there, even the lids. But none of the coffeepot or teapot lids seem to be ontheir hinges. I just placed them on top for the photos. On the tall pitcher there is a small indentation (around ½ inchor so) with an even smaller indentation under it. One of the photos shows this. Honestly, I only noticed this when I waschecking the pieces very carefully. Overall, this is an incredibly beautiful item. Also, on both the teapot and the coffeepot, the handles were detached (right by the black part of the handles--again, see photos). I reattached them with superglue, and they seem to be holding well. However, I would hesitate to swing either one by the handle, and I would be careful lifting them by the handle.)Please email me with any questions. Free shipping on this item. These items will be shipped to the winner of the auction in three separate boxes. Check my feedbackand bid with complete confidence!
