Up for auction is a SUPERBLY CARVED 18/19th CENTURY CHINESE JADE QILIN DRAGONS ARCHAIC BI DISC PLAQUE PENDANT. The carving of a very light celadon jade. The dragons are very nicely stylized with heads peaking over the inner circle. We offered an example several years ago at Sotheby’s that was verified as Kangxi period that had a near identical design, although we are offering this example as likely dating to later in the Qing dynasty period. Very nice quality of investment-grade.
Condition: Very fine with no damage.
Size: The pendant measures 2 1/8 inches wide, by 3/8’s of an inch thick. The pendant weighs 46 grams.
