Original Description:
This lovely example of 19th c. needlework is framed under glass and was clearly mounted on a pole screen base for display or in front of a fireplace. (The mounts are held on by 4 small screws so the piece could easily be converted for hanging.  The back paper is torn an brittle but it has protected the canvas nicely.  The linen ground is fairly dark, but the thread colors a bright.  The overall measurement is about 14" square. The sight size is 11.5"  I don't know w...hether the piece is American or English.
