Item History & Price

Featured Refinements: Rotary Dial Telephone |
This model, the 701B, was the first version of the Princess, introduced in the late 50s. It required a wall mounted ringer (not supplied). Bell was able to squeeze a ringer into later models. The photos show a lamp that illuminates the dial and serves as a night light, but it requires a separate transformer, which is not included. I've read that a common 6 V tranformer (wall wart) can be used for this purpose. Information about the Princess models and the transformer may be found at http://www.beatriceco.com/bti/porticus/bell/telephones-princess.html
