This is a set of five George III provincial Old English pattern silver Tablespoons in heavy gauge silver by John Robertson II & John Walton, Newcastle 1813 approximately 22 cm in length and weighing 279 grams in total. Their condition is very good for their age without any dents, dings etc and they are not misshapen, just the usual surface scratches from cleaning. There is one exception which has a small split near the top of the bowl - please look closely at picture 8. ... By and large they have fair to crisp hallmarks, some rubbing, and are monogrammed "B".
These will not be sold for scrap so I will start the auction just above the scrap price. Offers are welcome but none below £120 will be considered. Sorry about this stance but with the scrap price rising too many antiques are being destroyed.
