1984 Macintosh original 128K RAM motherboard from Model M0001 first Mac, date stamped 1983. Later revision 128K boards were date stamped 1983-84, and could be configured at the factory with either 128K or 512K RAM, this is the early 128K only. Has Apple branded RAM chips with the Apple logo on each chip!
Board is very nice and clean, undamaged. When last tested with good ROM chips installed this board displayed a Sad Mac error, so likely needs RAM chip/s replaced and/or... may also need other chips replaced or other repairs to work again. No guarantees as replacing soldered chips requires soldering in new chips to the board which requires specialized skill and care, which is solely at buyer's own risk. The original socketed ROM chip set was previously removed as shown, so it will also need working Mac ROM chips installed if buyer intends to use the board, ROM sockets are empty.
Would also be great to mount in a frame and put on display given the historic significance of the original first Macintosh Model M0001! All photos of the exact item buyer will receive.
This is for parts, restoration, or display only, it is NOT a currently working board, checkerboard screen, errors, and NO ROM chips. Never upgraded, or repaired. The chips/sockets have production date codes from mostly early to mid 1984. The CPU is date coded 8422 for week 22 of 1984 production, and the Apple branded RAM chips are date coded 8413 for week 13 of 1984 production. This board would have came in a Mac produced sometime after the latest dated chip on the board. Stored well and no corrosion or any damage. Ports are all good, no corrosion or damage. Smoke-free clean dry environment. Photos of exact item buyer will receive.
