UPGRADEYOUR DOWNTIME WITH A VINTAGE MAC GAMING STATIONSeller's Note: Every so often, I will make mention in my listings if I am selling a Mac of higher quality than usual, but this item is truly in a class by itself. I have restored and sold nearly 100 vintage Apple Macintosh systems on eBay, and this unit is easily the best overall condition, age and functionality I have ever seen. You will, likely, not find an SE in this condition anywhere, unless purchasing an unopened, factory-boxe...d Mac. But, those will not have the modern upgrades and can often be in worse condition internally, because their electronics have never been turned on in 30 years.
Your AppleMacintosh SE ModelM5011 was manufacturedduring the 1st week of 1991 and comes pre-loaded with many classicgaming titles. This entire Mac is in ultra-premium condition and has been professionallyserviced for proper operation and upgraded with a modern SCSI2SDadapter (SCSI-to-microSD card storage) by an experienced Apple Macintoshtechnician. Today's vintage computing market is trending towardsolid-state data storage to extend the life of legacy systems, and theSCSI-to-SD adapter greatly improves boot disk reliability to protect you into the future. Mac SE packages like this one with modern upgrades and all parts working are becoming increasingly difficult to find, so now is the time to add this item to your home arcade. The exterior of this SE case is in superior condition with no color fading and only a single light scratch (0.2 cm, 1/16 in.) - no other surface nicks or pry marks at the seam (see photos). The original harddrive has been removed and replaced with a brand new SCSI2SD adapter board and8GB micro SD card partitioned into (4) separate 2GB internal "harddrives" which can each be set as the startup device:(1) partition has System 7.1 installed with apps, utilities and all the games listed below(1) partition has System 6.0.7 installed with apps, utilities and all the games listed below(2) additional untitled partitions are HFS formatted and ready for your data or other Mac OS versions
The 9-inchblack-and-white monitor image is strong and stable with no burn-in on the CRT. All internal components are dust-free, theaudio speaker is loud and crisp, and a new, replaceable 3.6-volt PRAM batteryis installed. The 3.5-inch internal floppy disk SuperDrive is in excellentcondition with freshly cleaned heads for reading, writing andformatting 1.4MB, 800K and 400K diskettes, and all gears have been lightlylubricated for easy insert/eject functionality. The keyboard andmouse are both super clean and working, also with no color fading and only one or two light scratches on the underside of each, and all rubber foot pads under the mainconsole and keyboard are in great condition. Making theright move to a SCSI2SD adapter speeds up file access, decreases machine noise, and reduces case weight for a more enjoyable experience. The fronthard drive activity LED is not wired to function with the new SCSIadapter. All capacitors are original, but it is not necessary to replace caps for early Mac models up through the SE. There is nothing wrong with installing new capacitors, but I have tested so many of these units, and I can confirm for you that only the SE/30 and Classic models have such poor quality caps that you should be concerned about failure (too bad Apple really skimped on the manufacturing costs for those units). This unit also features 4MB RAM and TONS of yourfavorite games (see below) - all tested and ready to play right out of thebox!!
