Antique Yellow Ware Match Safe
Beautiful yellow cream in color with white salt glaze
Features a bird sitting on a tree limb in front of a brick design holder.
Originally cigarettes or cigars where kept in the rectangle chimney and matches were held in the round nest beside the bird. The well underneath the tree limb was for holding used matches.
Makers mark on the bottom "110" and "A" inside a square
Measures 4 3/4" tall, base is 8 1/2" X 6"
In very good conditi...on, has crack on inside of rectangle piece, small chips around the bottom edge
