This listing is for the exceptional, large 19th century French tapestry pictured above.
The tapestry measures about 82 inches tall by 57 inches wide. The tapestry depicts a serene landscape with a central river flanked by various flowers, trees, and small houses. A floral border surrounds the entire landscape.
The back of the tapestry reveals the painstaking hand weaving done by an artisan likely from the Aubusson region of France in the early to mid 1800’s.
Condition: The t...apestry is in typical antique condition. There is some separation near the ends of the weave as pictured. There are some typical minor weak spots and tiny gaps between the weave. Please refer to the photographs!
