Up for auction with No Reserve is an INCREDBLE PAIR VICTORIAN GOLD GILT BRONZE CHERUB FIGURAL CANDELABRA CANDLESTICKS. The Candelabra are the finest examples I have ever sold their type. They feature very dark nut brown patina Cherub Figures with gorgeous burnished Gold Gilt Bronze Cornucopia form Candle holders. The Pair show amazing detail and the quality can not be captured in photos, they have a real presence in real life. The Pair is not marked but they were purchased by the estate many decades ago as being by Ferdinand Barbedienne of Paris, circa 1880.
Condition : The Candelabra each display beautifully, the one has no damage or repairs, the other is just missing some pearl decoration from the base as seen.
Size : These beauties make quite a statement in a sideboard or fireplace mantel with each measuring 12 inches tall by 10 inches wide overall.
I am sure these would retail in a good antique shop in New York, L.A. or London for a staggering amount of money, but they will sell to the highest bidder without reserve as all my auctions have run for over 15 years !
These are too large and heavy to be shipped with anything else, it is just not safe.
