Bugatti 1910 Brochure Prospekt (French Text)
Item History & Price
Here's a curiosity I acquired from a non-automotive antique dealer in the UK 40 years ago. This is one of the earliest Bugatti sales brochures from 1910 (with a forward from Ettore himself), but the question is whether it is original. There was a known reprint made in 1962, which is now a collector's item in its own right. The starting price assumes it is one of the reprints, although there are some technical notes written in French on the inner rear page (along with a couple of coffee... cup stains) which seem to attest to its authenticity. It is clearly quite old, with the general odor that comes with historic literature, along with very rusty staples and the resulting localized staining. Clearly, if it's an original, it would be more valuable by at least a factor of 10. If you have any further information, I would be delighted to hear from you.
Good overall condition, with some general handling wear and loose inner pages. There is a scuff to the cover, which is in color, the rest being in duo-tone. 20 pages, approx. size, 164 x 246 mm (6.5 x 9.7"). Authentic French text.
Shipping:
Shipping reductions are available for combined orders (even if eBay suggests they aren't). On multiple orders, please ask for a revised invoice before paying.
