This is an original pair of antique arts and crafts style cast iron andirons, both marked Cahill 798, each featuring scrolled and hammered metal look on the base and large flowers on top. They both have what remains of the original copper colored finish, but most surfaces have a naturally aged patina that resembles aged bronze.
Both pieces are in excellent original condition, and both are solid, sturdy, and fully functional with no cracks, breaks, or repairs. There is some rust and ...minor pitting on the metal pieces that support the log, but no major physical damage anywhere. These andirons screw together and will be disassembled to reduce the risk of damage and cost of shipping. Assembled, they measure 20" L (front to back) x 11" across the feet x 20" H. All pieces will be packed securely and fully insured during shipping.
