Original Description:
A really wonderful piece of American history - an original U.S. Patent Model from Nov 8, 1845. The Patent is granted to inventor Daniel Harrington for inkstand. Metal top with "Harrington's Patent Philad" mini placard on it. Porcelain base with gorgeous roses and gold leaves painted on it. A great collectible for the writer in your life. Approx 2.25" high. Excellent condition (a couple of small chips on bottom...see picture) considering it is 175 years old!
Purchased in 1977 from th...e Patent Model Building in Garrison New York. During this time, thousands of patent models were auctioned off.
