Up for auction is a very fine antique CHINESE STONE CANTON ENAMEL SILVER IMPERIAL PRECIOUS OBJECTS LACQUER FLOOR SCREEN. This screen is a very unique example that is superbly carved with great Imperial Precious Objects soapstone carved designs. The screen also has a large amount of unique Canton Enamelled Silver vases and censers to each panel. The back of the screen is finished with gold gilt lacquer designs. The screen has been in the estates collection for around 60 years so it has some nice age likely being an earlier to mid 20th century example. I have not seen a screen with this unique enamel decor come up for auction in recent years. I have seen such screens also mounted on a wall which looks really nice as well.
Condition: The screen shows some minor wear consistent with older age. I will assume the odd stone flower or foliage may have small imperfections or minor chips but as seen the screen is in very fine estate-fresh condition with no missing stones and no repairs.
Size: Each of the six panes measures 73 inches tall, by 16 inches wide. When put together the screen measures approximately 100 inches wide and can be adjusted inwards from there by angling the panels.
