A lovely Antique late 19th to early 20th C. Attributed to Merrimac Pottery Green & Gunpowder Black Glaze Pitcher, Excellent Condition, there is a raised hairline to the glaze at the back, the pitcher is 100% secure & sound rings true when you tap it, a couple glaze flakes to the spout area of the top rim that have been colored in. No other chips, cracks or repairs, some slight manufactured roughness and crazing. You can refer to the pictures we guarantee 100% you wi...ll be more than happy with the overall excellent condition. Measuring 8 1/2" tall, the top rim is 4 5/8" x 4 3/8" x 8" wide x 5 3/4" at the base and weighing 4lb 9oz, wonderful hand tooled form with applied handle. The glaze colors are fantastic, great dripping, great slight iridescence to the gunpowder black. No marks on the base, from the glaze on the base as well as the coloring of the clay we believe this is an early rare example of Merrimac Pottery.
