Up for auction with No Reserve is a SUPERB 19THC FRENCH CHAMPLEVE CLOISONNE ENAMEL GILT BRONZE MANTLE TABLE CLOCK. The Clock is one of the finest of it's kind that I have ever sold. The Clock is also one of several amazing Clocks we have listed this week, from a grand estate. The Clock is carved Green Onyx stone and French Champleve Enamel. The photos do not come close to showing how gorgeous this Clock is in real life, the enamel is all done in rich jewel tones and the Gold Gilding is just sumptuous. I love the Archaic Chinese form of this Clock as well. The clock works are marked for the very fine French firm of L Marti & Co Paris and there is a date of 1889 as seen.
Condition : The Clock is in excellent physical condition, with no breaks, cracks or repairs. The Enamel panels and columns are also in excellent with no damage. The back door is missing it's tiny handle, which is easily replaced I am sure. There was no pendulum in the estate so we can not comment on working condition but the Clock does ding on the half and hour. If the Pendulum does show up we will update the auction listing or ship it to the buyer if it does so after.
Size : The Clock makes for an impressive large display measuring 18-3/4 inches tall by 10-3/4 inches wide by 6-3/4 inches thick.
This is too large and heavy to be shipped with anything else, it is just not safe.
