Sears Tower 26 (Asahi Pentax AP) 35mm SLR with Rare 58mm f2.4 LensSears Tower 26 (Asahi Pentax AP) 35mm SLR with Rare 58mm f2.4 Lens The camera is in very good to average condition. The body shows a little wear. The shutter fires, but the curtain does not close all of the way and the mirror does not return. When you gentle move the shutter the rest of the way, the mirror will return to start position. Also the second curtain has what looks to be... a wrinkle in it. The lens is the Takumar 58mm f2.4 lens, it was only made for 10 months. The lens is in average condition, the glass has a little dust and the aperture blades have some oil on them.The Sears Tower 26 was made in the made in 1957 for Sears by Asahi Camera company. It is the same camera as the original Asahi Pentax which is often called the Pentax AP. The AP was the first Pentax with an eye level pentaprism.
