This is an Art Nouveau cast metal goldtone (could be brass) jewelry casket by W.B. Mfg. Co./Weidlich Bros. of Bridgeport, Connecticut, (c.1901-1950). It was quite dirty/tarnished and I did try and polish a bit with brass cleaner. It is monogrammed on the lid E L W. It is stamped on the bottom #401 W.B.Mfg.Co. The lining is missing. IT was probably a velvet fabric. It is quite hefty and heavy, weighing 1 1/2 lbs. I have it starting at a great low price. Please email questions befo...re bidding.
