Offered in this sale is a really wonderful early 19th century English porcelain chamberstick candle holder with a gold gilt snake handle and shell thumb ...rest. It is not marked, however, it was likely made by one of the better firms such as Coalport, Spode or Worcester to name just a few. It measures roughl 3 3/8" tall x 2 3/4" in diameter across the base. It is decorated with a cobalt ground with painted flowers and embellished with gold gilt. This is really an adorable piece. I have never seen this model before and the pictures do not do it justice. The condition is very good. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration of any kind. You will not be disappointed.
