This listing is for one of the most fascinating pieces I have yet to come across. I believe this to be from France, a mid 1800's remnant. I believe this to be antique tapestry remnant, but thin enough to sew easily. The colors are fantastic, teal silk threads and metallic threads of dark sage green, brown and gold. The metallic threads do have age patina.The individual sections of this textile could easily be cut out and used for trimming authentic era doll costumes, etc.
This ...is a rare beauty that one may add to collections or incorporate pieces into antique doll clothing.
