For sale is this splendid Mamiya C3 system in good working order- camera serial no. 201580. The C3 was one of Mamiya's premiere medium format cameras, and one of the only TLRs ever made with interchangeable lenses. It has numerous advanced features- a locking film loading door, blackout interlock for changing lenses mid-roll, single shot/multiple exoposure/sheet film mode switch, rugged alloy construction, and the unique Mamiya bellows focus system which allows for macro-level focusing... down to a few inches from the lens, no matter which is currently in use. Truly a work horse.
Included in this system is the standard Mamiya-Sekor f 1:2.8 80mm lens (serial No. 719895) and the extremely hard to find wide angle Mamiya-Sekor f 1:3.5 65mm lens (serial No. 550225). Each has its own integral shutter (B, 1 s.-1/500), which comes with a focal guide and leather case. As you can see from the photos, they are both in excellent cosmetic condition, including their original filter ring bezels and lens caps.
The body itself (as pictured) is in great condition, with minimal scuffing and use wear. All internals are clean, black, and light tight. All external control work smoothly and well. Winding is smooth, shutter actuation is great, and flashes fire as expected.
Both lenses show some signs of internal dust and speckling- particularly the focusing lens of the 65mm- and the 80mm shutter has a tendency to stick a little in Bulb when it hasn't been fired for a while- while I have found both to be up to the task of shooting fine grained B&W and Color over the years, I make no secret that, like any 40+ year old camera, both lenses would benefit from a professional cleaning and shutter service.
Now for the extras! Included is a locking sheet film holder (adapter not included), a Milda case to hold everything, a sealed roll of Ilford Pan F 120mm B&W film, and best of all- a suite of color contrast filters. This includes an ND8 neutral, a Biotar skylight, a Kenko Y2 yellow, Lyncrest G orange Continental R2 red, Green 1, all in 49mm. With the included adapter ring, these filters will fit both the 80mm and 65mm filter bezels, making this system extremely versatile indeed.
