Vintage Solid Brass Rolls Royce Door Knocker/Ringer
I believe this is from the James Melton Auto Museum circa 1950's and is either a souvenir or promotional piece
The detail is great, the little crank turns and makes a clicking sound (the "knocker" feature)
Holes on each side for mounting
On the back it is marked:
"A Frye-Post Original Autoknocker""Compliments of James Melton"
This seems to be a rare item, I found only one other on line that sold a few years back...<...br>Solid cast brass, almost 1.5 pounds
Measures approx 5 inches across and 5 inches tall
Good vintage condition, nice patina, has a bit of paint on it -- could be removed, I have left as is so as not to disturb the finish+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++I accept Paypal within 5 days of auction close/end.
