This is a gorgeous rare early vintage Sterling Silver brooch by Ola Gorie. It is marked OLA, Sterling. The following information is on the Ola Gorie website:- All Ola Gorie jewellery has a hallmark. Over the years, the exact form it takes has evolved.OLA - very early hallmark, possibly between 1959 - 1963 (If you see one of these you have a rare vintage piece!)OMG - registered 1963OG - most recent hallmark. Used from 1990s when our normal usage changed from Ola M Gorie to Ola Gori...eIt has a beautiful, abstract Modernist design. It is in very good condition, and measures 1 and 7/8th inches across. Now a little information about postage.Most jewellery items come in new black cardboard or plastic jewellery boxes, with white wadding, and bubble wrap, for extra safety. These are then sent in jiffy bags, so all items should be very secure. The only exceptions to this are more delicate items, glass, china etc., that need added protection. These are sent in solid jewellery boxes, sometimes used, but always in very good condition. If you want an item for a present, and need a special box, do let me know, as I can normally find something appropriate to send it in. My standard UK postal charge of £2.20 covers the cost of postage, box, jiffy bag, bubble wrap etc. I am having to revise my postage rates for International Postage, as Royal Mail increased the rates from April 2014, but do remember, as always, I am happy to combine postage on any items that are paid for at the same time.
