Hi and welcome to my auctions. I am a model maker and bookseller with over 30 years experience. I specialise in aviation, maritime, military and militaria reference books aimed at model makers, collectors and enthusiasts. Jagdgeschwader 300 'Wilde Sau' volume 1 - June 1943 - September 1944 - Jean-Yves Lorant & Richard Goyat - Eagle Editions
Superb book from Jerry Crandall's Eagle Editions imprint - as the title suggests it covers the exploits of JG 300 over a 15 month period. A huge book packed with photos and great colour plates, as well as an exhaustive text, it is in effect an expanded Squadron Diary about the defence of the Heimat from Allied air attack - it will be of interest to both historians and model makers alike. The superb quality of this book and its companion volume will set the standard for many years to come!

Anyone interested in WW2 air warfare (Western Front) should not hesitate to pick up copies of JG 300 Vols. 1 and 2 before they inevitably disappear from the shelves. These quality books are large and beautifully printed, 775 pages packed with personal accounts of life in a Luftwaffe Fighter unit during the latter years of WW2. Extraordinary effort has gone into the research of this unit (translated fro the original French by the renowned historian Neil Page BA), with literally hundreds of excellent b/w photographs and numerous, vivid aircraft profiles (exquisitely done by Tom Tullis) from each Gruppe. Combat reports, diary excerpts, veteran recounted battles and experiences, loss lists and victory lists round out an outstanding unit history. I have been reading them and scanning the photos for months, and I am constantly surprised by something new. These volumes are worth their weight in gold. Amateur Luftwaffe researchers and enthusiasts will absolutely treasure these volumes in their library.
