Lovely quality antique examples, have come from a genuine estate clearance, they both have undamaged white enamel dials and they both in running/working order, although both in need of slight attention.Measurements Large sizes, the Waltham pocket watch measures 2.1 inches (53mm) in diameter and the silver pocket watch measures approx 2 inches (50mm) in diameter. Date English antique solid sterling silver, with a full set of English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1929, (date letter "E"). Silversmith is "A.L.D" (Aaron Lufkin Dennison) on the silver pocket watch. The Waltham is stamped "English Make, made of 2 plates of 14ct gold with plate of composition between, guaranteed to wear 25 years". The case is also made by Aaron Lufkin Dennison.Condition Pretty good condition, both in need of attention. The sterling silver watch is in nice condition, the silver has no nasty knocks or dents, it is in working order and a strong runner but only runs when laying face down; when it is laying on its back it stops! The hour hand is slightly short. The Waltham full-hunter pocket watch is also in good condition with only minor wear/loss to the 14ct rolled gold case and it is in perfect working order and a good timekeeper. The hinged front lid does not close properly, (it keeps popping open) and it has slight denting around the edge rim by the lid catch. Otherwise all ok, both enamel dials are perfect and the protective glass/perspex are both intact. No added personal engravings. Direct from a private estate and fresh to the market.Shipping and packing and ratesUK £7.75 next day special delivery, £4.75 1st class signed for)Worldwide: £11.95 (Airsure - if applicable)Europe: £11.95 (Airsure - if applicable)All items purchased usually dispatched within 24 hours following cleared payment.
