This sale is for a 5.8cm f1.4 Nikkor lens in the Nikon F (non-AI) lens mount. This rare lens is in excellent condition (looks minty) and is complete with Nikon front and rear lens caps. Glass is clear, diaphragm works properly and focus is smooth. This rare Nikon lens was made in the early 1960's for use with Nikon's first SLR camera...the Nikon F. The focal length (5.8cm) was probably arrived at because Nikon looked at Zeiss, and concluded that the 58mm Zeiss F2.0 Biotar lens, w...hich was used on the early Zeiss Contax S Single Lens Reflex cameras, was "the way to go." After a few years, Nikon devised the 50mm f1.4 Nikkor, and as a result, few of these collectible 5.8cm lenses were ever made. Please see photos of the actual lens for the excellent cosmetics of this lens. I ship to addresses in the US and Canada, but will consider shipping via the E-Bay Global Shipping program. Shipping will be via the US Postal Service, and shipping costs will be based on the buyer's ZIP or Postal Code. I will not falsify valuations for customs purposes! If you are the buyer, I'll contact you shortly after the end of the sale. Good luck!
