Offered here is a near-mint HMV / His Master's Voice / Nipper dog advertising money box. I'm not entirely sure of the age but it was bought in the late 1970s so it's at least as old as that, and since them it's spent it's life on a shelf in a music room. I'm also not sure what it's made of but it's not plastic, it's some sort of pottery / ceramic / china / porcelain, painted and fully glazed. It's measures a little over 24cm high (and about the same from tip of nose to end of tail when... viewed from above) and was originally made as a money box (there's a slot in the back and a removable rubber stopper underneath) but was used as an ornament opposite a vintage HMV gramophone. These weren't made by HMV or any affiliated company, they were produced in the 1970s for sale to HMV fans / record collectors and were in high demand by record and gramophone collectors, to display opposite their wind-up gramophones in imitation of the His Master's Voice picture...Near-mint condition, no dings or scratches.
