Here for auction we have an interesting looking Small Antique Box for you, i am not sure if this is Chinese or Japanese in origin but probably one or the other, this looks to be made of Wood but with a Lacquer over it with a Hand Decorated scene on top, age wise probably late 1800s early 1900s at a guess.this is a bit odd in shape as the base and Lid are not flat they are slightly curved upwards on top and downwards on the bottom towards the middle on both sides so it tends to wobble f...rom side to side when put down, not sure if this is for some sort of Trinkets or Stamps as a possible use?, condition is not bad some bits of wear on the decoration on top and Lacquer but still seals shut ok, there is a split in the wood on the bottom right corner, this measures 7.5cms or about 3 inches in length, 5cms or just over 2 inches in width, height is 3.5cms or 1 1/4 inches in height to the middle.
