Up forauction is a copy of Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys, released in 1966 cat no T2458. This is an original mono copy pressed in Uruguay, and is entitled Ladrido De Cachorro (translated roughly as "The Barking of a Puppy") on the labels. The individual song titles are also translated into Spanish; however the mostunusual aspect of this pressing is that the cover adapts the artwork for the Summer Days& Summer Nights LP, rather than using the familiar San Diego Zoo shots. This editio...n is unique to Uruguay (though it’sstrangely mirrored by the Venezuelan pressing of Wild Honey, which uses theartwork for Smiley Smile. But that’s another story…). As with most albumspressed in Uruguay from this era, the cover is sealed in a clear plasticsleeving.
Condition: the vinyl itself has clearly seen better days, and has many marks& scuffs. Plays with many clicks & pops, but –I think- no jumps/sticks.Labels have spindle trails but no damage/tears etc. But you’re buying this forthe cover, which is fine, although there is a small tear in the open edge, which clearly occurred during manufacture (as the plastic cover itself is undamaged). This could probably be improved by carefully opening the sleeving & repairing the tear, but I'll leave that to the lucky winner. G/VG+ (vinyl/cover).My grades:I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). Inever use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!)record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: theitem pictured here is the item for sale.
