This is a RARE 16mm COLOR andLETTERBOXED print of “THE YAKUZA”, a 1974 Warner Bros. release, directed bySYDNEY POLLACK, starring ROBERT MITCHUM, KEN TAKAKURA, and BRIAN KEITH. This violentgangster classic is set in JAPAN, and it’s elevated by one of MITCHUM’s mostintense performances. This is the UNCUT VERSION, in nice shape, with novinegar. Color is warming, but there’s definitely still color present. Sound isexcellent. And the LETTERBOX format preserves the director’s ori...ginal aspectratio. “THE YAKUZA” has a screenplay by PAUL SCHRADER (“Taxi Driver”) and ROBERTTOWNE (“Chinatown”).
