A RARE FIND! A quality made antique professional drafting set for Engineering or Architectural drawings with the name 'DIAMOND' on the inside of the box; in AMAZING CONDITION! The materials used to make the instruments are brass and polished steel. All the knobs, screws, points appear present; there is a small 'vial' with pencil leads for the compasses. The pens are... embossed, "D.IA", the pen handles and the 'pointer' handle are presumed bone.
The set includes large proportional dividers, two end supports for a beam compass, small and large compasses and dividers + MORE!There are 2 'tools' in the set for adjusting / disassembly and for sharpening the compass leads. The wooden box is covered with a black material; there are some scratches, scrapes, discoloration and loss to the material (at the corners). There is a small metal plate applied to the top center of the box lid. There is a thin rod with a small brass knob that is pulled away from the box to open the hinged lid.
