This auction is for a very nice letter sent by the former India cricketer, Cotah Ramaswami
The letter was sent by Ramaswami in 1967 by airmail to England from his address in India. As you can see from my pictures, Ramawami has nicely signed the letter at the end and the reverse airmail detail has his address in India as well as the recipients address and the 1967 postmark as well as the airmail stamp.
Ramaswami was an interesting character who played 2 Test Matches for India in 1...936. He also represented India at Tennis.
On 15th October 1985, Ramawami left his home in Adyar and never returned. His fate was never known and although there were reported sightings of him, he was never found.
