Rare Old Chinese Embroidered Silk Panel With Birds - Qianlong/Jiaqing

Welcome! For auction is this old Chinese silk panel measuring appx. 15 1/2 x 45 1/4" without the remnants of the border. This was cut out of a Japanese screen. The border remnants are brittle and flake off and chip easily. Panel itself is stable. Dirt, wear, scratches, holes, tears and losses throughout. Much loss to embroidered sections. In fact, most of them are gone and its really only the outlines and some of the remaining colored threads. Rocks and land are painted instead of wove...n. Was once a stunning piece of silk, but alas is in poor shape. Sold as is - please see the images for more details. Shipping is via Priority Mail. Sales tax charged as applicable.
