Super Rare Alkawakeb 7” Fairuz- Muchacha (Baile) Dance/Yamm El Ain El Kahle, Fairuz is probably the most famous of all Lebanese singers and recorded mostly on pathe’ and parlophone and later on Sono Cairo, as far as I can find these tracks were not recorded anywhere else, very few 10” shellac recordings survive from this label, the 7” 45’s are even rarer as the company wound up just as they started pressing 7” records.Label Manufacture Location: Beirut, Lebanon, registered ...in US. Label’s title “Al-Kawakeb” means “The Stars” in Arabic; produced exclusively Arabic music that incorporated elements of pop and swing. This label could also be compared to another independent Arab-American label of the same time period, Alamphon.
