Original Description:
This is a 19th century bronze basket/tray, with mixed metal interior, raised image of a scholar fishing for turtles and demon in a boat against a floral background. Bronze is woven, Very rich patina with polychrome.
This is a very heavy item, with inlay of bronze, but most likely copper. Very beautiful and pure.
The item came from a Chinese family that moved to the Netherlands. Really genuine.
The dimensions are : 10"3/4 (round) (27.3 cm). The size of just the image: 5"3/...4 (round) (14.6 cm).
