This is a listing for a handsome 19th century English Regency mahogany tea caddy box. The box measures 7 1/4 by 12 by 5 3/4 inches or 18.4 by 30.4 by 14.6 cm. The box is all wood with fruitwood inlay on the top edges and a small border around the body. The box has a gilt brass escutcheon at the front with a scrolling leaf design. The interior has 3 compartments; two are covered and the one at the center is round with a footed glass bowl at the center. The tea caddy is in overall very ...good condition, there is some splits in the wood due to drying over time, no missing inlay and there is no key.
